What the free scanner does with your file

Your resume is uploaded, converted to plain text, scored, and the original file is discarded. It is not stored on our servers unless you are signed in and choose to save the scan to your account.

The extracted text is used only to produce your report. It is never sent to employers, never sold, and never used to train anything.

What we store

If you give an email address with a scan, or fill in a contact or checkout form, we store your name, email, phone (if given), the details you type into the form, and — for scans — your score and the report. That is how we reply to you and how paid work gets delivered.

If you create an account, we store your saved scans so you can compare them over time. You can ask us to delete them at any point.

Payments

Card and UPI details are handled entirely by our payment provider. They never touch this site and we never see them. We receive only a payment reference, the amount, and whether it succeeded.

Who else sees your data

Our hosting, database and payment providers process data on our behalf under their own security terms. Nobody else. We do not sell data, run advertising pixels for third parties, or share your resume with recruiters unless you explicitly instruct us to.

How long we keep it

Enquiries and order records are kept for as long as we may need them for support, accounting and tax obligations. Saved scans are kept until you delete them or close your account.

Your choices

Email hello.resumeproof@gmail.com to get a copy of what we hold, correct it, or have it deleted. We action deletion requests within seven working days unless we are legally required to retain a record.
