The eight questions for Credit, Lending and Underwriting

The guided builder asks these, in this order, and turns each answer into a line on the page. Nothing is written that you did not type.

  1. 1.What is the value of loans you have appraised, sanctioned or disbursed in a year?
  2. 2.How many files or applications do you assess in a month?
  3. 3.What is the delinquency or NPA rate on your portfolio, and where did it start?
  4. 4.Which products and segments do you underwrite?
  5. 5.What is your turnaround time from login to sanction, and has it improved?
  6. 6.Which systems, bureaus and scoring tools do you work in?
  7. 7.How many field investigations, personal discussions or vendor reports do you manage?
  8. 8.What fraud, policy breach or loss have you identified and prevented?

Words are the easy half

A resume can carry every term above and still be rejected, because coverage says what you know and nothing about what you delivered. The heaviest category on the rubric is evidence: how many of your bullets carry an actual figure.

Seven in ten is full marks. Most resumes we see manage two.
