The eight questions for Graphic and Visual Design

The guided builder asks these, in this order, and turns each answer into a line on the page. Nothing is written that you did not type.

  1. 1.How many creatives, layouts or design assets do you deliver in a month?
  2. 2.How many brands, clients or campaigns have you designed for?
  3. 3.What result did your design work drive, and by how much?
  4. 4.Which tools do you design in daily?
  5. 5.How many brand identities, logos or design systems have you built from scratch?
  6. 6.How many revision rounds does your work typically take before approval?
  7. 7.How many designers, interns or freelancers do you direct or review?
  8. 8.Which print, packaging or production processes have you handled end to end?

Words are the easy half

A resume can carry every term above and still be rejected, because coverage says what you know and nothing about what you delivered. The heaviest category on the rubric is evidence: how many of your bullets carry an actual figure.

Seven in ten is full marks. Most resumes we see manage two.
